The eleven ward Chairmen in All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikom Local Government Area have expressed happiness over the donation of motorcycles by the Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, Elvert Ayamben, to facilitate their grassroot mobilisation.
Speaking on their behalf, Comrade Kingsley Akunobor who is chairman of chairmen in Ikom LGA and Ward Chairman of Olulumo said that the motorcycles will impact their works.
The 11 Ward Chairmen described the gesture as timely noted that motorcycles will significantly boost coordination and outreach efforts across the wards.
In his statement, Akunobor said, “The motorcycles will enhance mobility for the ward leaders. It will enable them to engage more effectively with constituents, strengthen party structures, and drive grassroots mobilization ahead of forthcoming political activities.”
The 11 chairmen stated that the intervention reflects a practical understanding of the challenges faced at the ward level.
They added that the support would improve operational efficiency and deepen the party’s presence within communities.
They also reaffirmed their loyalty to the APC and pledged to deliver on their mandate by ensuring sustained engagement and mobilization in their respective wards.
They described the gesture as a morale booster and a strong signal of inclusive leadership within the party.
