More than 100 pupils of Bebuabong Community Primary School in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State have received educational materials from the Feed a Hungry Child with Briana Foundation (FAHCWB) as part of efforts to support learning and child development.
During a follow-up outreach to the school on July 2, the foundation distributed notebooks, reasoning textbooks and pairs of socks to the pupils while engaging them on the values of ambition, confidence and kindness.
The outreach also provided an opportunity for members of the foundation to meet with the school’s management to review progress since an earlier intervention and discuss ways of expanding support for the community.
Founder of the foundation, Barr. Briana Akpagu, said the visit was part of the organisation’s long-term commitment to improving the welfare of children rather than a one-off intervention.
According to her, the foundation remains focused on addressing the challenges of food insecurity, poverty, climate change and social injustice affecting women and children through sustained community engagement.
Akpagu stressed that every child deserves the opportunity to pursue education without the burden of hunger or deprivation, adding that lasting impact can only be achieved through consistent partnerships and support.
She reaffirmed FAHCWB’s commitment to expanding its interventions in underserved communities and called on individuals and organisations to partner with the foundation in promoting children’s education and overall wellbeing.
