By BANNERNEWS Reporter, GusauTroops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have killed two terrorists and intercepted a suspected explosives courier with 180 units of 20mm Super Power explosives in Zamfara State.
The operations were conducted on Friday as troops intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and disrupt their logistics.
According to the JTF Media Information Officer, Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, troops of Sector 2 encountered terrorists during a clearance operation around Garin Kaso in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area.
Two terrorists were killed while two rifles, two magazines, nine rounds of ammunition and two motorcycles were recovered.

Danja said the troops later repelled an ambush by another group of terrorists, inflicting further casualties. He added that local reports indicated that fleeing terrorists evacuated wounded colleagues and the bodies of those killed.
In a separate operation, troops conducting a snap check intercepted 57-year-old Sani Umar, who was allegedly transporting 180 units of 20mm Super Power explosives from Gusau, Zamfara State, to suspected terrorists in Jibia, Katsina State.
The suspect, vehicle and explosives have been taken into custody for investigation.
The task force said the operations were part of efforts to disrupt terrorist hideouts and logistics networks across the North-West.
