Saudi Arabian authorities have confirmed the arrival of more than 1.5 million foreign pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage as preparations intensify for the annual Islamic exercise.
The Passport Force Commander for Hajj disclosed that a total of 1,518,153 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom have so far entered Saudi Arabia through various air, land and sea entry points.
The official said authorities were maintaining strict operational and security measures to ensure the smooth movement, safety and welfare of pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
Security personnel, immigration officials and emergency response teams have also been deployed across airports, border crossings and the holy sites to manage the large influx of worshippers arriving for the pilgrimage.
Saudi authorities have continued to coordinate logistics and crowd-control measures in Makkah and Madinah as millions of Muslims gather for one of Islam’s most important religious obligations.
Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, draws millions of faithful from across the world to the holy cities every year.
