The Assistant Inspector General of Police,, AIG, Auwal Musa Mohammad has disclosed that the whole essence of celebrating Police Day in the country is to reassure the people that they are to serve the people.
He addressed the personnel of the Nigeria Police Zone six in Calabar, saying the exercise is also to build trust amongst the citizens.

He further pledged unwavering loyalty and commitment to their charge to ensure safety of lives and property.
On day two of the Police Day celebration in Cross River State, officers and men of the Zone 6 headquarters led by the AIG together with the support of POWA Zone 6, took to the street today on tuesday in the early hours of the day,, trekking long distances for health .
The personnel informed the city izens as they walked about the significance of the movement, reminding them of the theme for the year’s National Police day, which is Community Partnership – Buiiding Trust.
