The spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has advised groups and individuals not to perpetuate violence and killings during next year’s general election.
He assured that no matter the antics or violence that may be employed by political groups, only the will of God will come to pass during the election.
The spiritual leader spoke through the spokesman of the spiritual organization, Dr Amah Williams, when they reeled out activities for a weeklong religious event in Calabar holding from 13th to 19th April 2026 meant to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of coronation of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as the he leader the organization.
He advised that there is no need for politicians, their supporters and party members to fight and maim themeelves.
“As the nation moves gradually towards the 2027 general elections, the Holy Father has assured Nigerians that only the will of God shall be done, hence there is no need to fight, kill or maim anyone for no matter how hard you try, His divine will alone will be done in Nigeria.”
He called on Nigerian leaders and other citizens to always emphasise peace and unity instead of wickedness and violence.
He stated that peace is the presence and sustainance of justice, fairness, equity, mercy and empathy, stressing that nations that seek peace must first seek God.
