The Chairman of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission (CRIDCOM), Otuekong Chief Otu Okor, has been inducted as a Doctoral Fellow of the Institute of Management and Advanced Leadership Excellence (IMALE) at a ceremony held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Okor, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators (FCAI), described the honour as both humbling and a call to greater service.
“My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Institute of Management and Advanced Leadership Excellence for this honour. I am truly humbled to be inducted as a Doctoral Fellow,” he said.
He said the recognition reflects the power of vision, hard work and the support of his family, Cross Riverians in the diaspora, and the people of Cross River State.
Okor dedicated the honour to Governor Bassey Edet Otu, whom he described as an inspiring leader, reaffirming his commitment to promoting leadership excellence and development.

“I dedicate this honour to the People’s First Governor, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. I look forward to contributing more to the advancement of leadership excellence and development,” he said.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Registrar of IMALE, Abubakar Sadeeq Yusuf, said the institute remains committed to grooming leaders capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving world.
According to him, the institute’s professional programmes, leadership development initiatives, research engagements and international collaborations are designed to create an environment where knowledge meets practice and professionals can excel.
Yusuf urged the inductees to uphold the institute’s core values of character, competence and ethical leadership while serving as ambassadors of excellence in their respective fields.
The ceremony attracted professionals and dignitaries from various sectors, gathered to celebrate achievements in leadership, management and professional development.
