Barau Football Club has strongly refuted recent media claims accusing its General Manager, Dominic Iorfa, of harassing staff, coaches, and players.
In a statement issued by the club’s Media Director, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, the club described the allegations as “unfounded, misleading, and unfair,” urging the public to disregard the rumors.
The club emphasized that no member of its technical crew or staff has been suspended, and that management continues to work collaboratively to achieve success on and off the field.
The denial follows earlier controversies over Iorfa’s appointment, including petitions regarding alleged financial misconduct and disputed salary deductions. In October 2025, anti-corruption groups reportedly petitioned the Deputy President of the Senate and club chairman, Senator Jibril Barau, citing a ₦1.5 billion fraud case allegedly under EFCC investigation.
Despite the uproar, Iorfa assumed office as General Manager in September 2025, with the club highlighting his leadership and professional experience.
Barau FC concluded that professionalism remains its guiding principle as it seeks to stabilize performance and restore trust among supporters.
