Lafarge Africa Plc has recorded revenue of ₦1.1 trillion for the 2025 financial year, representing a 53 per cent increase from the ₦696.8 billion posted in 2024.
The company’s audited financial results also showed a sharp rise in profitability, with Profit Before Tax climbing by 170 per cent to ₦411 billion during the period under review.
Profit After Tax rose significantly from ₦100.1 billion in 2024 to ₦273 billion in 2025, reflecting improved operational performance and stronger market demand.
Operating profit nearly doubled, increasing from ₦193 billion in 2024 to ₦392 billion in 2025, while earnings per share grew from ₦6.22 to ₦17.
The company attributed the improved performance to higher sales volumes, better plant efficiency, expanded distribution networks and tighter cost management across its operations.
Lafarge Africa also disclosed plans to expand production capacity at its Ashaka cement plant in Gombe State and the Sagamu plant in Ogun State. Upon completion, the Ashaka facility is expected to reach an annual capacity of two million tonnes, while Sagamu will increase to 3.5 million tonnes per annum.
The expansion projects are projected to raise the company’s total installed production capacity to about 14 million metric tonnes annually.
The company indicated that operational efficiency, improved capacity utilisation and market expansion would remain key focus areas in 2026 as it seeks to consolidate recent growth.
